Yog Martand Yogiraj Siddhanath, born in Gwalior, India on May 10, 1944, descends from the ancient royal family of Ikshavaku Rama of Solar Dynasty. The great Kings and lofty Yogis of this ancient Dynasty have been custodians of the sacred science of Raj-Yog and Kriya-Yog.
A born siddha Yogiraj Siddhanath went into spontaneous enlightened states of perfection and bliss at the age of 3 and chose to fulfill his calling as a yogi after completing his education. His transformation was completed in the Himalayas, by his deep and personal experience with The Maha-Avatar, Shiva-Goraksha Babaji, who blessed and empowered him to teach Kriya-Yog, which truly is The Perennial Unity of All Religions the world over. Ever since, Yogiraj has devoted his life to imparting the ancient knowledge of Yoga, illuminating numerous souls and making them embrace the new life awakening movement to spread “Earth Peace Through Self Peace”. In the spirit of service, Yogiraj along with his wife, Gurumata Shivangini, has built the Siddhanath Forest Ashram in the valley of Sita Mai, at the foothills of Simvhagad fort, in Pune.
For over 40 years, Yogiraj has healed and transformed millions all over the world with his transmissions of Kundalini Shakti energy. He also bestows unique Clear-Light Mind states of awareness which empower the practitioners to gradually go into Sahaj Samadhi, experiencing the depths of 'Eternal Being'. Yogiraj has taught yoga and spirituality not only to followers, but also to world leaders and has even given experiential discourse before the United Nations.
He now teachers Mahavatar Babaji's Kriya Yoga and Hamsa Yoga, the ancient forms of Yoga expounded by the Nath Sampradaya.
THE KRIYA LINEAGE
Mahavatar Shiva Goraksha Babaji first gave the original Kriya yoga to the Yog~Avatar Shyam Charan Lahiri Mahayasa in the autumn of 1861, in the Himalayas at a place in Ranikhet. The science was kept in its pristine purity and later passed down to the great Gyan~Avatar Sri Yukteswar Giri who was the Guru of Paramhamsa Yogananda. It is to this lineage that Yogiraj Siddhanath belongs having been blessed by Shiv Goraksha Babaji to spread the message of Kriya Yoga throughout the world. He was also in close association with disciple of Sri Yukteswar's known as Swami Satyananda Giri who was a contemporary of Yogananda who looked after the Sadhu Sabha formed by Sri Yukteswar. He also had close association with brother disciple of Swami Satyananda Giri called Hariharananda Giri. After this, at the age of 23, he set out to Himalayas in search of the great being called Babaji and had a deep experience of Babaji.
